Objectivism was never just a list of ideas — it was a structure. A system. And like any system, it has a defined sequence through which coherence travels. That sequence matters. Because if a single concept fails under pressure, the collapse does not stay local — it propagates.
This sidebar offers a structural snapshot of the system Rand built. It is not chronological. It is not pedagogical. It is architectural.
Metaphysics is the base of the system. Existence Exists. Identity is non-contradictory. Causality governs action. Without metaphysical realism, nothing above it holds.
Epistemology is the method of human awareness. Reason is volitional. Logic is non-optional. Concept formation is the bridge between perception and knowledge.
Ethics is the guidance system. Life is the standard. Virtues are behavioral adaptations to reality. Rational egoism is not license, but responsibility.
Politics is the social codification of ethics. Rights are moral boundaries. Justice protects the individual. Freedom is not the absence of force, but its containment.
Aesthetics is the capstone. Art selectively recreates reality to concretize values. It reflects the integrity of the whole system — what we believe, and why it matters.
The structural weight does not flow downward. It flows upward. From premise to purpose. From what is, to what ought to be, to what we build, and finally to how we express it.
This is not just hierarchy. It is dependency. If you pull out reason, ethics buckles. If you collapse identity, rights fracture. This is why Objectivism resists partial adoption: it is not modular. It is architectural.
