What the Pack Contains
The individual evidence pack assembles the artifacts produced by the individual-level practice across all three arcs into a single, structurally organized collection. Its purpose is proof — evidence that the practice is real — governed by the principle that processes are public by default; persons are private by default.
Private Artifacts (Self-Audit Layer)
These are the individual's own records, maintained for personal accountability and never shared without explicit, voluntary choice.
From Arc 1 (TO Practice): Decision canvases (2.1.1), virtue operating cards (2.1.2), budget-as-architecture templates and calendar audits (2.1.3), independence audit results (2.1.5).
From Arc 2 (OO Method): Weekly review logs (2.2.1), "I Changed My Mind Because…" entries (2.2.1), debias checklists (2.2.2), steelman exercises (2.2.2).
From Arc 3 (RO Structure): Provenance notes and assumptions register (2.3A.1), personal data map (2.3A.2), commitment ledger and restraint score records (this unit), Pre/Postmortem archives (this unit), Cultural Input Audit (2.3A.4, next unit).
The private layer is the self-audit mechanism. Its function is not documentation for its own sake — it is the structural evidence that allows the individual to answer the question: am I actually practicing what I claim to practice, or have I drifted into performing the vocabulary without executing the discipline?
Public Attestations (Verification Layer)
These are outcomes verified by external parties, proving practice without exposing the internal process that produced it.
Commitments honored — verified by counterparties. A promise made and kept, attested by the person or institution to whom it was made.
Qualifications maintained — attested by credentialing bodies. A license, certification, or competency demonstrated through selective disclosure (2.3A.2) rather than full transcript exposure.
Financial obligations met — confirmed by settlement records. Debts paid, contracts fulfilled, and financial commitments honored, provable through institutional attestation.
Recovery executed — demonstrated by restored function. A component failure occurred, the recovery plan was activated, and function was restored — provable by the fact that the person continued operating without catastrophic loss.
Assembly and Maintenance
The evidence pack is assembled incrementally — not as a one-time project, but as the natural accumulation of artifacts produced by the ongoing practice. The assembly principle is: if a discipline produces an artifact, the artifact enters the pack. No additional documentation burden is required beyond what the practice itself generates.
Maintenance follows a simple cadence: review the pack during the quarterly extended review (an extension of the weekly review conducted at longer intervals). The quarterly review asks: are the private artifacts current? Have any public attestations expired or become stale? Are there gaps — disciplines the reader claims to practice but for which no artifact exists?
The failure mode is pack theater — maintaining the artifacts without maintaining the practice they are supposed to evidence. The test is the same one that governs every tool in this arc: does the evidence pack reflect a living practice, or has it become a filing system for unused templates? If the artifacts are not being updated, the practice has drifted — and the evidence pack is the mechanism that makes that drift visible.
Change Log
- 17 Mar 26 — Initial publication. Application sidebar defining the individual evidence pack: private artifacts (self-audit layer) drawn from all three arcs, public attestations (verification layer) proving outcomes without exposure, assembly principle (incremental), maintenance cadence (quarterly review), and failure mode (pack theater).
- 19 Mar 26 — Removed type declaration from subtitle. Lowercased toolkit names in body text.
